The book journey slowly continues. This chapter was hard for me to get a grip on. And although the challenge for the chapter is to consider how the space-time continuum works through my photographs, much of the chapter specifically spoke to my connection with the outdoors. Those of you that know me would likely think that this would be a whizz for me. The outdoors is my life, right?

Well, I have problems with these “shoulder” seasons. And this in-between season seems to be going on forever. We are well past the vibrant colors of fall, but have not yet entered the peaceful white blanket of winter. These are the times that I really struggle to find inspiration. I know it is silly. I know there is tons of beauty to be had outside right now. I just struggle to get myself out there in it. Thank my lucky stars for my fur kids, because I can only look at them so many times before the guilt overtakes me and I have to get them out for a good run. Camera in hand… Nature speaks!

So for the space-time continuum… well, freezing a bird dog in time as it runs its patterns across a field. For me that is the space-time continuum at its finest. Especially with our big footed, flopping jowl spinoni! The human eye can’t possibly see what a happy running spinone looks like frozen in time in the middle of a hunt. Being able to capture that joy and see it whenever I want… that’s my heart! It is why I have a passion for this work. I want everyone to be able to savor these moments. To forever remember the joy that they bring to their pets life. They do so much to enrich our lives. Capturing the joy that we bring to theirs is a great way to remember that we are their angels just as they are ours.
