It seems like I am consumed with nothing but dog training this summer. I do say seems like it, because I do get in plenty of me time (such as a 35 mile bike ride all by myself yesterday). This boy is just SO stinking cute I do not want to miss out on any opportunity to help him achieve his full potential. I still struggle with bird work though… I lost another one today. For the most part Leo has gotten good enough to find them when they get away from me. No such luck today. He was pretty close a couple times I think. His tail seemed to reflect that he was totally on something…. I hated leaving without it, but I didn’t want him to overheat. We went for a nice long swim afterwards.
Six more weeks… Then we can back down a little on the training. I can get back to working with some other fur babies.
It’s pretty intense how these incredible creatures can become such a huge part of your heart. All I can think of right now is doing everything in my power to helping this sweet boy be everything that he can be 🙂
